Well it’s been almost 5 months since my last blog update so I wanted to update everyone on what’s been going on with my online life. Not many things have happened since my last update, but the few things that have happened have been pretty significant. I’ll start off with the biggest one of them all. I sold Website-Gallery.com back in February for $6000. It was a good amount of money, but also good for the new owner since the website was making a good sum monthly.

TutorialDesk.com was also sold right after my last update back in November. It was sold over at SitePoint for $800. Two other small websites I sold during this time were GForceCommunity.com for $300 and IMG-Share.com for $215. Both were small sites and quick sales but GForceCommunity.com produced almost $100 in November alone.

So that sums up all my website transactions for this time with no updates. Now the only websites I have left are TutorialWall.com, which I hope to sell soon, RMGR.net, and RobertGomez.info. I plan on releasing a bit of a bigger site within the next couple of weeks or so and I will have some more info for all of you soon.

- Robert

There are hundreds of CSS Galleries online nowadays, but only a couple are popular and updated constantly. Here is my list of the 7 best CSS gallery websites, in no particular order.

CSS Beauty

This was one of the first css gallery sites started. It has a very neat layout and is very popular. PageRank 7 and Alexa Rank of 14,487.

CSS Remix

Probably the most popular and heard about gallery online. PageRank 4 and Alexa Rank of 18,721.

CSS Drive

This site not only offers a css showcase, but also has menu designs. PageRank 8 and Alexa Rank of 20,347.

CSS Vault

Before last month’s Pagerank update, this site had a Pagerank of 9. That should pretty much sum it up. It’s an amazing site with a beautiful layout. PageRank 8 and Alexa Rank of 30,146.

Style Gala

This site doesn’t have a layout as good as the other sites, but what I like the most about this gallery is that it gets updated very often. Not only is the gallery updated, but public design news also. PageRank 6 and Alexa Rank of 22,430.

CSS Mania

CSS Mania gets some major traffic, no wonder it has the lowest Alexa rank of all seven sites featured here. PageRank 6 and Alexa Rank of 8,920.

Best Web Gallery

Not updated as often, but I love the recent layout changes. When you hover your mouse over a website featured it shows a bigger preview of the site. PageRank 6 and Alexa Rank of 26,202.

Honorable Mention:

Website Gallery
Web Creme
CSS Elite
Screenalicious
CSS Collection

On my last blogpost, which was over 3 months ago, I was moving my sites from Bluehost to MediaTemple. Now I moved yet again, from MediaTemple to HostGator. The reasong I did that was because I could save $10 a month. I pay $9.99 for hosting at HostGator. So as the title says there was recently a PageRank update, after many months without one. Here is what my domains jumped to:

RobertGomez.info PR2 –> PR4
Website-Gallery.com PR0 –> PR5
GForceCommunity.com PR2 –> PR4
IMG-Share.com PR0 –> PR3

As you can see, I really needed this PageRank update badly.

On another note, here are the sites I’ve sold since my last blog update.

PSDmaster.com

PSDmaster was sold on SitePoint in early-October. The new owner has kept it online, and running. It is now PageRank 3. The final price on this site was $550.

YourPhotoshopSource.com

YourPhotoshopSource was sold on SitePoint in late-August. It is now PageRank 4. This site was sold for $750.

Other Updates:

Website-Gallery.com is doing great! Since the pagerank update I have received many people interested in advertising on there. I also started offering text link advertising, and not just sidebar banners as it used to be. The rates for text links start at just $7 per week, or $15 monthly.

I received yet another payment from Google about a month and a half ago. This time for a bit over $150. I now need about $10 to receive yet another payment after this month. I’ve made a close to $500 all time with Google Adsense.

As said above, GForceCommunity.com made it to PageRank4 and now I installed a script that allows me to sell links. I’m selling PR4 links starting at only $1! Go visit GForceCommunity.com and buy yourself a link.

I’ve bought the domain TutorialDesk.com and have the site all ready to create another Photoshop Tutorial place. The design was done and coded and is now live and ready to have tutorials added. I will be adding some tutorials pretty soon. Let me know what you think of the design.

That’s it for now guys, I will try to update this blog more often. See you around!

Hey guys it’s been almost a month and a half since my last update. I know you think I’m lazy, but the reason for the lack of updates is that I had lost the WordPress password for the site, and the Password Recovery form wasn’t working. What I did was move the site from Bluehost to my MediaTemple account, and now it’s all setup and working again.

Since my last update, so many things have happened that I figured I would make yet another update blog post. As some of you might know, last month I was trying to get rid of all my websites and get a fresh new start. Well I pretty much did get rid of them all, and a couple more so let me update you guys on what has been going on.

Websites Sold in May/Early June:

Tutorial-Index.com
Designerer.com
UploadP.com
arrivaUPLOAD.com
HotPageTags.com
So as you can see, It’s been a busy month at SitePoint :P. Now here’s a couple of other updates.

- Time2Photoshop.com has been finished, and it is now opened to the public.

- I bought IMG-Share.com, and will be starting a new Image Host there soon.

- Last, but definitely not least, I opened up a website that showcases great looking sites from all over the internet by the name of Website Gallery. This site has been really successful in the 6 days that it’s been opened. Please pay it a visit, and maybe submit your sites if they look good

It’s been quite a while since my last blog post, about half a month, so I decided to just post up on things going on in my internet life :D. I don’t know if any of you have noticed, but this month of the year I decided to pretty much get rid of all my domains, and websites, and start all over this Summer ‘07. The past 25 days I have sold Tutorial-Index.com, Designerer.com, UploadP.com, and a couple of domains. Yesterday was my last day of school, that means I’m out of school for the next 3 months pretty much, so I will be starting a couple of projects this Summer that just started. My first project is a Photoshop Tutorials and Resources site by the name of Time2Photoshop.com. There is nothing on the domain yet, but you can see a preview of its layout on the image below:

So that is pretty much it for now, I will keep you all updated with the development of this site and many others to come this Summer.

Sometimes friends, visitors, and just random people ask me what my favorite method to make money online is, and I tell them it is simply just a matter of personal opinion, skills, and luck. I have decided to compile a list of ways to make money online while sitting on your computer. Please read the list below, and Digg It if you enjoyed it enough.

7. Online Gambling (Fantasy Sports)
Probaby the hardest way to make money online, but if you love sports and do not mind risking money, then you can invest on some Fantasy Teams and make some good money. Say that for example the Baseball season is coming up and you would like to start making money through Fantasy games. You can buy a Fantasy Team for only around $19.99 and if you end up winning your league you can make up to $100. Say you do this a couple of times, not only with Baseball, but with Football, Basketball, and Hockey also. You’re looking at maybe a couple of grand.

6. Paid surfing and survey filling
Not that good an option to make money online, and definitely can’t make enough for a living doing this, but if you’re just starting off and have a lot of free time, then you might want to try doing this. One time I heard of someone getting paid $100 for completing one single survey, and that obviously doesn’t happen every day, but it might be a nice little addition to your income.

5. eBay Business
This is one of the few methods of online money making that I have not tried very much. While I have sold a couple of things on eBay, I have never tried to do it often and a lot. I have, however, seen many people that do it for a living. If you buy things by lots at a local Flea Market and sell them on eBay, you can make enough money doing that.

4. Selling a Product
If you find a way to create a unique online product, and a good way to advertise it then you can make some real cash. My friend AlfredN is currently working on a Content Management System, and if he finds a way to spread the word nicely, then he’s in for some nice and consistent cash. You can also do the same for any other product as long as it’s unique and visitors aren’t tired of seeing it.

3. Advertising
Advertising is the most common way to make money online. Wether it be through Direct Ad sales or through an online Publisher Network.

Direct Ad Sales

This method is not as commonly successful as advertising through a Publishing Network. What this means is basically selling ad space on your website directly from your website. While it may sound easy and cool it is not as easy as it sounds. The hard thing to do in this case is to get people to buy the space. The bigger your site is, the better chance you have to be successful with this method.

Advertising through a Publishing Network

Almost one hundred percent of websites online today use this method of online money making. It is simply the easiest to do, but not the one that produces the most. It consists of simply signing up for a Publisher Network and putting their ads up and you receive money for every click. Some of the best Networks include Google Adsense, Yahoo Publisher Network(BETA), Tribal Fusion, BidVertiser, Chitika, Clicksor, ValueClickMedia. The thing with Publishing Networks is that you will only make significant money if you have a big enough website.

2. Freelance Work
If you are pretty good at Coding, Designing, or some other service then you can get some pretty good cash doing Freelance work on the Internet. To make the most cash doing this, you must have some good contacts of small businesses or maybe website owners who are constantly in need of work and pay good money. Jamie Huskisson is one of the best I’ve seen at this on the internet. He does it so good that he does it as a full time job. As with most jobs, the more you do Freelance work, the more work you will get as you build up your portfolio.

1. Creating and Selling Websites
By far in my opinion the best option to make money on the internet if you do not own a huge website. The reason it is so good is because the more you do it, the easier it gets because you get more experience and you know where to sell it, and for what price. This is the option that has worked the best for me, and most people I know criticize me for selling the websites instead of keeping them and making money off of ads. Why do I sell the sites instead of making money off of ads? The answer is pretty simple. The sites I sell for about $1000 or more only make about $3-4 per day, that would come out to be around $100 per month, it’s not that bad, but when I can make $1000 a month by just creating one single site, then why not do it? Most of the websites I build and sell are tutorial websites. I guess I find it easier to do these because I have some good contacts who can write tutorials for the right amount and know where to submit them to. Personally I like using WordPress for all the tutorial sites I build, it is so easy to install and so customizable that I just love it!
